Fuji Kaze is a Japanese musician and Singer-songwriter for Universal Music Japan. He released his first album Help Ever Hurt Never in 2020. Fuji weaves his native dialect from the Okayama prefecture with the more standard Japanese language to create a unique sound that stays connected to his roots. 

Fuji Kaze needed a crew that could translate this linguistic connection through a music video performance.

Shas Studio Inc worked with the production company, DEAR OCEAN, as the shooting production team. Dear Ocean is a company which specializes in coordinating for Japanese clients that want to shoot abroad in the United States. 
We worked with a range of foreign talent on this project. The Polish director, Chris Rudz joined the Japanese cinematographer Koretaka Kamiike to head the video. Their combined experimental style would lend itself to the success of the video, which included an original dance by The New York based choreographer, Mathew Corbin.

All footage was captured in one day in the streets of New York and indside the Metropolitan Building Studio in Brooklyn.
